Bio

Born in Damascus, Syria, Oubai immigrated to the US with his family as a young child and grew up in Arkansas and then Arizona. After finishing a double degree in Arizona State University, he pursued a career in defense and national security in the immediate post-9/11 period, where he served as a defense analyst and Middle East policy advisor to the Pentagon, and has multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving government service, Oubai pursued a media career and is an award winning producer and correspondent covering global affairs and deploying on a regular basis to various conflict zones.
